Operations Manager

Healthguard International is hiring
Healthguard International offers premium international medical insurance, giving individuals and organizations in Sub-Saharan Africa and India access to private healthcare. As part of Cimas Health Group, which has over 80 years of experience, it works with a wide network of medical funders, administrators, and providers across the region. The company is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join the team and report to the Managing Director.

Main responsibilities
- Take full ownership of operational performance across external fund administrators and internal shared service teams, making sure business unit priorities are tracked, raised, and addressed
- Manage the digital customer journey from sign-up to claims settlement to improve member experience
- Support regional growth by setting up infrastructure, networks, and partnerships that drive expansion in Sub-Saharan Africa
- Implement strategic projects from start to finish with strong governance, clear accountability, and consistent follow-through
- Collaborate closely with the Commercial Manager to find, sign, and onboard brokers, agents, and intermediary partners in key markets
- Create key performance indicators to monitor operational results and track progress over time
- Make sure all activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and international standards

Qualifications
- Background in Healthcare Management, Cimas, or a similar field
- Certification in Project Management, Change Management, or Sales Management
- Post-qualification experience in Operations Management or a related area
- 5 to 7 years of experience in operations management or a similar role
- 4 to 6 years of experience handling service networks and third-party vendors across multiple countries
- 3 to 5 years of experience managing and supporting financial services agents or brokers
