Job Opening: Electrician at Allied Timbers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd

Allied Timbers Zimbabwe, a major local and international supplier of quality timber products for industrial and consumer markets, has a vacancy for a qualified and experienced Electrician. The role is based at Erin Estate and the successful candidate will report to the Maintenance Foreman.

Role Purpose
The main duty is to install, maintain, and keep all electrical equipment operational at all times.

Key Responsibilities
1. Set up, maintain, and repair electrical systems and machinery within the assigned area.
2. Carry out regular, scheduled servicing of electrical systems and equipment.
3. Test and inspect electrical components, and fix any existing or potential faults identified.
4. Observe and record the operation and performance of machines.

Skills and Knowledge Needed
1. Good time management abilities.
2. Strong communication skills.
3. Flexibility in handling tasks.
4. Solid understanding of PLC and VSD installation and fault-finding.

Minimum Requirements
1. National Certificate in Electrical Power Engineering.
2. Trade-tested Class One Journeyman qualification.
3. At least 3 years of relevant work experience.

Remuneration
A salary package will be offered based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
