*Role Details*
Position: Retail Pharmacist, requiring 1-3 years of experience after internship
Location: Harare
Reports to: Branch Manager

*Key Responsibilities*
1. Process prescriptions and dispense medication to patients following clinical guidelines and standard operating procedures.
2. Oversee daily operations on the dispensary floor to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
3. Provide patients with clear guidance and information on how to use medications safely and effectively.
4. Advise patients on medication adherence, possible side effects, and dietary considerations.
5. Manage stock control, track inventory levels, and implement measures to reduce losses and discrepancies.
6. Gather data for monthly procurement and reporting, and ensure operational reports are submitted on time.
7. Work with healthcare professionals to address patient care matters, including adverse drug reactions.
8. Develop and update standard operating procedures and job aids to improve pharmacy systems.
9. Uphold professional standards, efficiency, and ethical practices within the pharmacy.
10. Foster teamwork, maintain good working relationships, and supervise junior pharmacy staff.

3. Valid practicing certificate from the Pharmacists Council of Zimbabwe for the current year.
4. Current license to dispense and sell medicines issued by the Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe.
5. Proficient in using modern pharmacy point-of-sale and inventory management systems.
6. Strong interpersonal, decision-making, and communication abilities.
