Position: Head of Dental Services

Job details:
Reporting to the General Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Lead the establishment, growth, and day-to-day running of FMHS dental units within medical centers and primary healthcare clinics across the country
- Act as the Practitioner in Charge for the Dental Services Division or identify qualified specialist consultants to fulfill this role for facility registration purposes
- Create and update the strategy, standard operating procedures, and clinical guidelines for the Dental Services Division
- Ensure all dental clinics comply with regulations set by MDPCA, ZBDA, HPA, Local Authorities, and other relevant bodies
- Work with specialist dentists from various fields to strengthen and expand the business model
- Carry out patient consultations, make diagnoses, provide treatments, and ensure proper handling of patient records and confidentiality
- Supervise referrals, maintain infection prevention protocols, and educate patients on good health practices
- Take part in planned wellness initiatives and coordinate with support services such as lab, optometry, pharmacy, and radiology

Candidate requirements:
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree and a valid open practicing certificate
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a management role
- Strong leadership, business, and customer service skills
- Ability to apply modern dental practices and develop strategies for clinics or medical centers
- Excellent communication abilities and high ethical standards
- Prior experience in setting up dental clinics or medical centers will be an advantage
