Shop Manager

- Position: Shop Manager
- Location: Southern Region, Bulawayo
- Job overview: Baker’s Inn Retail is hiring a Shop Manager to take full control of store operations and drive performance.

- Key responsibilities:
- Plan, run, and oversee daily shop activities to grow sales and profits
- Set hourly, daily, and monthly sales goals for the team
- Supervise, coach, and motivate staff to maintain strong performance levels
- Check product quality and make sure all items meet required standards at all times
- Deliver excellent customer service and keep service processes efficient
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety
- Manage stock, including counts, ordering, and investigating variances
- Handle cash properly, follow banking procedures, and account for all shop funds
- Monitor and maintain shop equipment, machinery, and facilities
- Prepare and review daily sales reports and operational records
- Ensure the shop complies with company policies, operational rules, and legal requirements
- Handle staff discipline, welfare, conflict resolution, and grievances

Qualifications and experience:
- Diploma or Certificate in Hotel & Catering, Business Studies, or a related area
- At least 5 O Levels including English and Mathematics
- Proven leadership experience in retail, food, or hospitality
- Strong people skills and clear communication with good English
- High integrity, discipline, and accountability
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Hands-on, energetic, results-driven, and must have sober habits
