Description
The position is for an Administration Officer on a five‑month fixed‑term contract with the Tobacco Industry & Marketing Board (TIMB). The role reports to the Human Resources Business Partner.
Key duties include:
- Keeping the main asset register current and handling disposal of obsolete items.
- Overseeing vehicle service schedules and ensuring vehicles are maintained according to standards.
- Assigning pool vehicles for approved requests.
- Managing receipts, storage and issuing of store items.
- Supervising building maintenance and repairs through regular checks and planned upkeep programs.
- Ensuring all safety equipment works properly.
- Administering TIMB properties and lease agreements for rented offices.
- Managing the company’s insurance portfolio and making sure all assets have adequate cover.
- Coordinating service providers for meals, security, cleaning, vehicle tracking and insurance in line with service agreements.

Requirements & How to apply
Minimum qualifications:
- A diploma in Administration, Human Resources or a related business field.
- At least two years of post‑graduate experience.
- Class 4 driver’s licence.
Other competencies required:
- Skill in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication and report‑writing ability.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage time well.
- Knowledge of transport and property management regulations.
- Good organisational skills and ability to work alone or in a team.
