Funds Officer

Bonvie Medical Aid Scheme is advertising a vacancy for a Funds Officer based in Harare. The position reports to the General Manager and involves managing financial activities for the scheme.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
1. Compiling and delivering monthly financial summaries and performance updates.
2. Carrying out detailed analysis of fund data, covering trend studies and forecasting.
3. Examining contribution frameworks and drafting proposals for benefit reviews.
4. Reviewing benefit structures and usage patterns to suggest improvements.
5. Using data analytics to spot operational efficiencies and cost‑reduction chances.
6. Evaluating product performance and suggesting ways to strengthen fund sustainability.
7. Coordinating with stakeholders to recommend efficiency enhancements.
8. Offering analytical insights and strategic advice to guide fund administration decisions.
9. Creating dashboards and visual presentations to display data effectively.

Required education and experience:
- A degree in Analytics, Statistics, Health Economics, Actuarial Science, or a related business field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an operations or management role.
- Strong skills in project management and business reporting.
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
- Background in accounting or finance is a plus.
- Ability to drive efficiency and improve business results.
- Familiarity with budgets, financial statements, and expense monitoring.
