SME Loans Officer

Doves Financial Services is advertising a job vacancy for an SME Loans Officer based in Harare.

Organisational details:
- Position title: SME Loans Officer.
- Reports to: Operations Manager (first‑level supervisor).
- Department: Doves Financial Services.
- Direct reports: none.
- Grade: to be assigned.

Main duties:
- Find and interact with small‑business clients who qualify for financing.
- Increase loan income by meeting sales goals.
- Perform detailed assessments of loan applications.
- Oversee and organise loan and credit data.
- Counsel applicants on appropriate loan sizes when initial requests are turned down.
- Explain financial risks and give financial education sessions to clients.
- Show strong understanding of Harare’s informal business market.
- Develop plans for keeping clients and promoting services.
- Carry out effective debt recovery actions.

Qualifications and skills needed:
- A degree or diploma in commerce.
- Good communication and customer service abilities.
- Minimum one year of experience in SME lending.
- Preference given to candidates with Harare work experience.
- Valid driver’s licence required.
- High focus on detail and numerical work.
