Description
The Social Workers Council of Zimbabwe, a statutory organization created under the Social Workers Act (Chapter 27:21), is inviting suitable and experienced applicants for the Board Secretary position based in Avondale.
Key duties of the role include:
- guiding the Board on governance, legal compliance, and procedural issues;
- organizing Council and Committee meetings, preparing agendas and accurate minutes;
- keeping statutory records, registers, and confidential documents;
- ensuring adherence to the Social Workers Act and related legislation;
- assisting with disciplinary, ethical, and professional regulatory matters;
- acting as the link between the Council, Ministry, Secretariat, and other stakeholders.

Requirements & How to apply
Qualifications and experience needed:
- a Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Administration, Governance, Social Sciences, or Business Administration;
- professional certification in corporate governance or company secretarial practice (knowledge of Law is a plus);
- registration with a recognized professional body such as ICSA/CGISA is desirable;
- at least three years’ experience in corporate governance, board secretarial services, or statutory bodies.
