Senior Surveyor

The job is for a Senior Surveyor position at Mutapa Energy Minerals, based in Sandawana, Mberengwa. The role involves overseeing all surveying activities to guarantee precise spatial information that supports secure, efficient and economical mining operations while complying with legal and company standards.

Key duties include:
- Setting up and keeping survey control networks that meet industry standards.
- Carrying out survey measurements, calculating volumes and preparing reports.
- Supplying accurate survey information for mine planning and running operations.
- Watching mining progress and noting any differences from planned designs.
- Creating survey plans, reports and statutory documents.
- Keeping survey equipment in good condition and making sure it is calibrated correctly.
- Making certain that health and safety rules for mines are followed.
- Managing and training survey staff.
- Assisting operational and technical teams with survey data.

Requirements for the job are:
- A degree or diploma in surveying.
- At least eight years of experience in open‑pit mining, with a minimum of three years in a supervisory position.
- Skill in using mine surveying software.
- Experience with modern survey tools such as total station, GPS and drone surveys.
