Job overview:
The Senior ICT Officer works under the Finance & Investments Director and provides technical support in several key areas.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and sustaining local and wide‑area network systems to fit business needs and meet team requirements.
- Running regular external security vulnerability checks aligned with the company’s cybersecurity policy and handling uncovered issues.
- Enhancing telephone and mobile communication technology to boost service quality, cut expenses and spot opportunities for future upgrades.
- Managing and updating the core ICT infrastructure to guarantee system availability and control access for staff and members.
- Setting up and overseeing physical and virtual servers, including system upgrades, backup and disaster recovery plans.
- Delivering effective ICT support service and reviewing areas for improvement.
- Specifying, acquiring, installing and decommissioning ICT hardware and software consumables and managing capital investment within allocated budgets.
- Ensuring adherence to ICT licensing, warranty and support agreements for hardware and software.
- Implementing security measures to protect the company’s network and data.
- Developing and advising on Business Continuity Procedure (BCP) solutions.
- Conducting performance tests on computer equipment.
- Repairing or replacing failed laptop components such as keyboards, modems, memory, hard drives, FDDs, planars or sub‑cards.
- Performing routine backups, system and server maintenance.
- Leading the procurement of ICT systems and services with thorough knowledge of the company’s purchasing procedures.
