Key responsibilities include:

- Applying curriculum and teaching methods aligned with ministry guidelines.
- Preparing and submitting annual budgets and identifying students’ intellectual, physical, social and emotional needs, taking corrective actions in consultation with parents and staff.
- Establishing communication channels to keep staff, students and parents informed.
- Setting up a School Development Committee according to statutory requirements.
- Creating and maintaining up‑to‑date school records and reporting systems.
- Producing well‑rounded learners who fit into modern society.

Minimum requirements for the position are:
- A university degree.
- A postgraduate qualification in School Administration (advantageous).
- At least three years of experience as a substantive head teacher.
- A proven record of delivering quality results.
