Buyer

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Buyer to join our team at a leading pharmaceutical and beauty care manufacturing facility in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing high-quality raw materials, ingredients, and packaging components at competitive prices.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Identify, assess, and qualify new suppliers for raw materials and ingredients
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and supplier contracts
• Place purchase orders and track them to ensure timely delivery
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock levels
• Work closely with production and quality assurance teams to ensure all materials meet regulatory and quality requirements
• Build and sustain strong relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience
• Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Pharmaceutical Technology, or a related field
• At least 3 years’ experience in procurement or buying
• Good understanding of pharmaceutical and beauty care manufacturing operations
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment and manage shifting priorities
• Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or beauty care sector
• Procurement or supply chain certification (e.g., CIPS, CSCP)
• Proficiency with procurement software and related systems
• Membership in recognized professional bodies
