MINE MANAGER

JOB OPPORTUNITY
Position: Mine Manager
Location: Chegutu, Zimbabwe

A reputable medium-scale mining company is inviting applications from a qualified, results-driven Mine Manager to oversee and improve mining operations. The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable production while maintaining full compliance with Zimbabwean mining laws and regulations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide overall leadership and direction of mining operations to achieve safe, efficient, and cost-effective production.
• Ensure strict compliance with the Mines and Minerals Act, environmental laws, and internal company policies.
• Develop and manage mine plans, production schedules, budgets, and performance targets.
• Supervise and coordinate mining, processing, engineering, mechanical, and other support teams.
• Establish, implement, and maintain effective health, safety, and environmental management systems.
• Track production performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with regulatory authorities, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
• Compile and submit routine operational and management reports to senior leadership.

• Degree in Mining Engineering.
• Valid Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency (MMCC) is mandatory.
• At least 7–10 years of mining experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Demonstrated expertise in mine planning, operations, and technical mine management.
• Thorough understanding of Zimbabwe’s mining legislation.
