Dispensary Assistant/ Pharmacy Technician (Repost)

A NEW PHARMACY BASED IN GOKWE HAS AN OPEN POST.
CANDIDATE SHOULD BE WILLING TO RELOCATE TO GOKWE.

DUTIES ARE AS FOLLOWS :
1. Dispense prescribed medicines and medical supplies accurately while working under the pharmacist’s supervision.
2. Prepare prescriptions by counting tablets, labeling containers, calculating prices, and compounding medications when necessary.
3. Facilitate smooth and efficient patient transactions.
4. Track product expiry dates and remove any items with fewer than six months remaining on the shelf.
5. Investigate and resolve outstanding or incomplete prescriptions (hanging scripts) promptly and thoroughly.
6. Oversee stock ordering, receiving, and storage to ensure accurate inventory management.
7. Deliver high-quality customer service by professionally handling customer inquiries, concerns, or complaints.
8. Keep current with industry developments and best practices to enhance professional skills and knowledge.

1. Relevant qualification in Dispensary Assistance or Pharmacy Technician field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
3. At least 5 O' Level subjects (including English and Maths).
4. Extensive knowledge of pharmacy processes, with the ability to navigate dispensary software
and systems
5. Solid knowledge of generic and trade names for commonly prescribed medications
6. Understanding of health and safety regulations in a pharmacy environment.
7. Active team player with quick adaptation skills.
