We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to head the engineering division at Jena Mines. The successful applicant will work directly under the Mine Manager and take a leading role in guiding the department.
Key Duties
Develop and manage capital, labour, and operating budgets for the engineering section in collaboration with department leaders.
Assess equipment performance with a focus on achieving expected reliability and uptime targets.
Monitor and optimize resource use and cost-control strategies to remain within approved budgets.
Introduce and apply modern engineering methods and improvement initiatives aimed at boosting efficiency and reducing operational expenses.
Supervise preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for machinery, plant systems, and mine infrastructure.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to cross-functional engineering teams.
Oversee infrastructure and plant improvement projects, including expansions and upgrades.
Carry out routine compliance and safety inspections, ensuring engineering tasks adhere to legal standards and internal operating policies.
Uphold SHEQ systems in compliance with ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, as well as other applicable regulatory guidelines.

Requirements & How to apply
Candidate Profile
A recognized qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
Minimum of eight years’ exposure in the mining field, with at least four years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
Professional membership with a reputable engineering body, such as the Zimbabwe Institute of Engineers or another accredited international organization.
