Grain Marketing Board (GMB) Job Opportunities
Position:Commercial Officer (x3)
Locations:Northern, Southern & Eastern Regions
Key Skills Required:
- Strong leadership and business sense.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Skills in product innovation, market strategy, and project management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and collaboration abilities.
- Familiarity with the FMCG sector.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and implement regional sales strategies aligned with GMB goals.
- Monitor performance using KPIs, reporting to regional management.
- Conduct research to support business growth, new product launches, and sales development.
- Oversee the sale and distribution of agricultural products.
- Supervise retail outlets and distribution channels.
- Ensure efficient stock handling and merchandising.
- Lead and mentor marketers, shop managers, and sales teams.
- Collaborate with internal departments (Logistics, Finance, etc.).
- Represent GMB at trade shows and industry forums.
- Build and maintain customer relationships.
- Handle customer feedback and orders.
- Prepare daily/monthly sales reports.
- Track and analyze sales trends.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards

- Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Retail Management, Business Management, Supply Chain, or similar.
- A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Additional certifications in Marketing, Retail, or Supply Chain Management are beneficial.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience, with a strong background in sales, retail, or business development.
- 5 O’ Levels including English and Maths or Accounts.
